National Weight Control Registry.


Hey, all you gorgeous people who are trying to lose weight and keep it off! Have you heard about the National Weight Control Registry? I’m Dr. Mary Clifton. I’m the founder of Dr. Mary’s Reset Revolution.

They’ve been studying people who have lost weight and kept it off for over 10 years. These people lost and kept off at least 10% of their body weight. That’s a lot of weight. For somebody who needs to weigh between 130 and 160, somebody who loses 13, 20 pounds, and keeps it off for 10 years, wouldn’t you like to know what they did? The National Weight Control Registry is tracking all of those behaviors. Here’s a hint. We’re adding those behaviors into Dr. Mary’s Reset Revolution.

Here’s one tip within the National Weight Control Registry. People weighed themselves regularly, like once a week. Now, the frequency of once a week is a good idea. What day of the week is the best idea? Probably Friday or Monday, because the weekend is the time when people kind of cut loose of their diets.

If you think that you’re going to have a big weekend, and it’s going to motivate you to stay on track with your diet to measure on Friday, then measure on Friday. If you feel like doing that measurement on Monday is going to help to remind you that you want to keep things under control over the weekend, then measure on Monday.
